Aircraft Overflight Program

Working Together to Make the Lee County Port Authority a Good Neighbor

Recognizing the impact aircraft overflights may have on the surrounding Southwest Florida communities, our goal is to engage with stakeholders, educate others on airport and aircraft operations at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY), and act as an informational resource for the surrounding communities.

Addressing Your Aircraft Overflight Concerns

LCPA offers the public the ability to express their concerns and ask questions about aircraft overflight activities through the following three contact methods. Overflight comments are checked regularly during the week, except on holidays, by dedicated LCPA staff. By obtaining information about the nature of the comment, time of the occurrence, location of the person's residence and the activity that caused the disturbance, LCPA is able to properly document the comment and perform an appropriate investigation. Additionally, the information allows LCPA to coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration, who is ultimately responsible for the movement of aircraft in the air and on the ground. Should commenters want a follow up, they should request a response when submitting a comment.
